To the People of Egypt

Under a different hemisphere we stand,
yet our skins are burned by the heat of the same sun.

Thousands miles stretch of land separate our physical existence
but our spirit and souls are fused through time and space

We may not share the same flag nor language,
but we do understand:
The evil that a tyranny may bring.

and we do shared the same stories:
About struggle, resistance and the courage for  change.

Within our chests, resides the ideals of the noblest sons of men:
of freedom with respect
of solidarity with devotion
of peace with dignity
That will only flourish on the ground of faith

In every burning molotov, our hope sparks for you people
In every stone thrown, our wishes fly to you: Egyptian
And may every drop of blood sheds grant our prayers for you: brothers and sisters

Tomorrow,  when the sun rises and greets the walls of pyramids in Giza
And when the Mediterranean wind blows the peninsula of Alexandria
May they bring the message of victory blaring from Cairo
Swept across the north coast of Al-Maghribi
Restoring the balance throughout the dunes and hills of Middle East

Changing the face of the earth into a brave new world we're all longing for
That was once again just and bold.
